Despite those warnings and with the help of firmly orchestrated action, all these informations and people who spread them were fettered. The general impression was that there was a certain subtle form of prohibition on all informations. Hugoz, who is an expert on Islam, was Cairo and Algeria correspondent of Le Monde (one of the most respectable dailies in France), said: "Almost thirty years of journalism in the service of the most respected francophone daily taught me one thing - during this period and without making noise about it, the freedom of expression has continually been repressed...
An explorer Alexandre Del Val faced on a daily basis that expanded list of the topics one is not allowed to discuss... Among those topics are Islam, Islamism, the Muslims...and USA, the Americans, their customs and products. There are some minor fissures, some small publishers or newspapers and some shyly expressed courage, but they constantly diminish. Today, in Europe and especially in France it becomes more difficult to expose freely your view on reality ...when you talk about the Muslims or Americans. The bold boys who dared to do it were immediately labelled "enemies of the universal brotherhood" and would have even been accused of racism, Fascism or even Nazism [1] if they had persisted to talk about it."
In the same time, those who were spreading lies were additionally stimulated. On the one hand, they were stimulated by the governing cultural and information policy and policy in the narrower sense, but on the other hand the same was done by rich donors from the Islamic world. They paid and still are paying numerous so-called Islamologists who spread lies about Islam in the way that exceeds even the Muslims’ expectations. Hugoz says about them: "At the beginning of the XX century, the merchants from Marseille resided in Algeria in spite of danger and at their own risk they declared as Turks those Europeans who converted to Islam in order to protect themselves from maltreatment they were exposed to. Today we could declare as "Muslim by profession" the members of the Western company that gets larger every day and is comprised of orientalists, university professors, politicians, clerics and journalists. They all operate at the expense of the budget that Arab countries intended for the propaganda activities...In return for that, the majority of them consider themselves obliged to publicly show exceedingly obsequious posture concerning Muslims and Islamism. They intentionally forget certain facts or even worse - they conceal the facts and change them. It does serious harm to the truth, science and mutual recognition of the Muslims and the non-Muslims. [2]"
All of that created a situation where no one could talk about Jihad, unless the Muslims discuss it. The result was the 9/11 attacks. That event shocked entire political and intellectual world scene. The people sobered up for a moment and as a result those who had indicated the situation and its possible consequences attracted attention of the media and managed to present their opinion. And their opinion had some heretical tone. In this sense it is important to mention French expert on policy, Alexandre Del Val who also was one of the numerous analysts ignored by French media because he "explicitly exposed alliance between USA and Islamism [3]. After the 9/11 events he was accepted in the magic circle of experts [4]. This information wouldn’t have been unusual if it hadn’t appeared in famous French daily magazine Figaro. The thesis once considered the most unacceptable now reappeared on the French public scene. The Figaro reports: "The thesis that explicitly explained relations between USA and Islamism once repulsed the media. During the war in Kosovo the media devil wasn’t Bin Laden but Slobodan Milosevic. And then the two towers were blown up. The wind has changed. The help USA once provided to Bin Laden was reported in worldwide press. Del Val picked up a page: When I condemned the behavior of the Americans, media didn’t invite me. Now it would be rude to attack the Americans. We should support them. By accusing them we would only show our support for Islamists. I hope that everything will be all right and that the Americans will stop their war on Orthodox Church and Europe." [5] These are simply unbelievable words for a French magazine with enormous daily circulation!
These claims were read by several million people of the francophone countries. Just a few months before one could expect to hear solely somebody like Solzenjicin or an orthodox fanatic talking about US war against the Orthodox Church. But instead of this, that news was published by the French daily with the biggest daily circulation. And this is more important than the fact that Del Val said that. In this sense, he is not important. Those standings could be found in this highly respectable daily magazine. And it was nothing but an introduction.
Later some new texts appeared which for example precisely defined statements in another text written by Ibn Waraq and Guy Hennebelle. "The truth is that there is no essential difference between Islam and Islamism: the only difference consists of scale [6]. But it has lasted for a very short time. And than once again the old stories reappeared and there was also an attempt to gather the cooperative Muslims corresponding to the new world order. The result recently came from US-organized Afghan government. The Shari’a is still in effect there. [7]" It means that sex discrimination and race discrimination still exist in this country and that there is no respect for human rights granted by UN Charter. It is very important to mention the theory of Jihad considered as a right of God.
This image of Jihad dominated the International community and had repercussions for Yugoslavia (the territory of the ex-FRY) as well. Firstly, a very few things [8] about Jihad were familiar to our people and it wasn’t a frequent topic of debates. It means that the term Jihad wasn’t in frequent use, although it had been mentioned under another name. The Islamic community which is by definition an organization ordered under Jihad, had to conceal that fact during Broz’s regime. So, it used Takiah. In this sense, the Islamic community sought to provide a cover for its activities and it publicly presented itself as an ordinary religious organization like Serbian Orthodox Church. The Islamic community avoided to write much about Jihad. Besides, it all had some restrictions imposed by Islam, a religion that can’t exist without Jihad.
The Islamic proselytism started to attract the public attention and reveal its Jihadi essence. After the first reactions, the Islamic community (IC) has taken up a defensive position. It published some texts containing its standings intended to conceal the true essence of Jihad. It is worth to mention an IC theologian named Hussein Djozo who said: "In the narrower sense, the term Jihad means armed struggle or defense of the country, freedom of belief and other values by force, provided that there is no other way to deter the enemy... Islam accepts and recommends Jihad only in the situations of urgency and with strict limitations. [9]" As we can see, this text published in 1973 during the communist era, had to reconsider all potential consequences. This man Djozo tried in every possible way to define Jihad as a war, defense or means used by endangered people
